Sydney will obe transformed into a spectacular screen of light, music and ideas when Vivid Sydney takes over the city from 25 May – 11 June 2012.





Vivid Sydney will colour the city with creativity and inspiration, featuring the breathtaking immersive lighting of the iconic Sydney Opera House sails, performances from local and international musicians at Vivid LIVE and a free large scale multi-media outdoor exhibition of interactive light sculptures and building projections around the harbour precinct.



The event will also include a range of artistic collaborations, public talks and debates from leading creative thinkers from Australia and around the world, celebrating Sydney as the creative hub of Asia Pacific.

WORLD CUP 2010 - BRAZIL

The Twelve Apostles are giant rock stacks that rise majestically from the Southern Ocean and are the central feature of the rugged Port National Park.
The 12 Apostles have been created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs of the mainland that began 10–20 million years ago.

The stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs. The caves eventually became arches and when they collapsed rock stacks up to 45 metres high were left isolated from the shore.
Sunrise and sunset offer particularly impressive views as the Twelve Apostles change colour from dark and foreboding in shadow to brilliant sandy yellow under a full sun.
The Twelve Apostles are located just east of Port Campbell, along the Great Ocean Road. Parks Victoria has built boardwalks, tracks, and viewing areas to ensure you get spectacular views of the Twelve Apostles.

Clean Up Australia Day is fun, easy and everyone can get involved. Organise your own site to Clean Up or volunteer existing one. Every piece of rubbish counts!
